What I Offer

I offer Private Training packages where you choose the number of sessions. These packages focus on building a strong foundation of basic commands and manners as well as body maintenance. I use positive reinforcement and teach your dog techniques to understand what you do not want, to ensure your dog learns because they want to, not because they are forced to. Whether you're dealing with a young dog or an older dog needing a reboot, my training is designed to be effective and enjoyable. These packages cover the obedience you need, the manners you want and the health and care they deserve.  Sit, place, come, down, look and calm walking prioritize a happy, well-adjusted dog ready to succeed in any environment.

The Training

My Training packages were developed so that owners and the dogs/puppies get the best results. Training with positive reinforcement and correcting the behaviours that you don't want, your dog/puppy will learn how best to live in a humans world. They know how to live in a dogs world, dogs want a leader. My training gives you the ability to build that relationship with your dog and earn your dog's respect as their leader. This enables your dog to become a well-adjusted and happy member of your family.

My packages are created with your dog in mind. We only do what you want to help your dog with.

Each package is designed for what you want to help your dog with. The packages are divided into sessions that are an hour each. During that time I will have you train your dog and I will be there to answer all of your questions.

After completing any of my packages you will have a trainer for the life of your dog. I will be available to answer any questions you may have in the future. If new issues should arise in the future we can tackle them together again.

I come to you or meet you wherever (park, sidewalk or trail) you are having difficulties with your dog and we tackle the problem together.

Weight Loss

If your dog is having a problem with their weight and you are open to new ideas that will keep your vet bills down, I can help. The weight loss sessions are designed to provide you with options and ideas that you can do at home for very little extra expense. Some breeds will eat and eat because they don't feel full. Some breeds can eat very little and turn into blocks. All breeds were not bred to respond to the same exercise. Every extra pound on your dog is like ten extra pounds on their heart. If you want your dog to live their best life and a long happy life let's take some of those extra pounds off. These sessions help you lay the foundation for a happy and healthy dog. 

 

Nail Filing

Nail trims are an important aspect in a dog/puppies well-being. I have a short course to teach owners how to do it themselves so that you can save time and money. Having the knowledge and ability to trim your dogs/puppies nails can also save them from the anxiety of going somewhere to have it done by a stranger.

Dog Intro

Bringing a new dog or puppy into the house and you aren't sure how that looks or if the current dog will be nice? I can help with that. Introducing a new dog or puppy into the extended family and there are already dogs with questionable behaviour? I can help with that too. Properly introducing dogs to each other is very important. It saves everyone including the dogs from fear of the unknown as well as possible fight behaviors later.

Crate/Kennel

Crates/Kennels are a very important tool in training. I believe that every dog/puppy needs a crate/kennel in order to be safe, comfortable and to know they have a place of their own. Crate/Kennel training is a game changer. It makes any other training so much easier. We all live in human size crates to keep ourselves safe and comfortable, we just call them homes, houses, apartments or condos.

E-Collar Training

E-Collar Training for me is all about teaching dog owners how to use e-collars positively and humanely to train their dogs effectively. This is very important to me. E-collars have evolved and they are not the same as shock collars once were. I offer a 3 session e-collar training course to clients who have finished one of my training packages.

I do not believe in using the e-collar for 'shocking' purposes. I ensure that you are taught how to use the e-collar in a positive and humane way. My definition of an e-collar is that it is your 'my-fi' leash. The rest of the world has gone wireless, why not allow your dog the freedom he/she desires to go leash-less.
